again this has affected me alot seeing that big piles of garbage are forced on sidewalks in the philippines because they dont have a reasonable way to dumb their waste. This causes the trash to sit there and bask in the hot sun while potentially forming diseased related pathogens. these streets are all that kids have for a playground and doesn't help any because some of these kids are barefoot. so many people are sick and don't even know it, they live with their illness because fo the money issue. hygiene and standard health is complete oblivious to these people.. some have the duty to rumige through the trash for valuables, hoping to sell them off. human waste is also a problem in the philippines because running water is a problem, adn disposing the waste is also. local rivers are dead and are black. the idea of a river to these people are probably the site of darkness. i witnessed a local kid in my parent's province take a squat right outside his house door, and I couldn't phatom what was going on. what we emit in the air is ultimately affecting our health because it creates harmful pathogens that are dependent on warmer weather. people in the philippines are most affected because of commute. the most affected way of transportation to take public transport. so many germs are beign passed on that diseases can transfer adn travel at a higher rate.
an exert from the book, read ,"human civilization cannot exist w/out an intact and functional natrual environment."
its apparent they didnt put into account the people in these third world countries. They have nothing to benefit from their ecosystem yet they find ways to survive. stories like this put into perspective the way human beings adapt from the lowest resources.
