As we look as past history and analyze how the earth became from what it was today, there are many similarities in the era and also big differences. many things are present nowadays because of the development of humans and what we contribute to this world. Honestly, those that say we are at fault are beyond me. You can't stop how we are going about our life's and the world changing is a way of reaction in mother nature. Mother nature can adapt to whatever we do to it and if we do bring it to a stage of total destruction, I believe mother nature has the ability to regenerate itself. Just like humans, it will take the good and bad, and roll with it; a type of resilient property. Rapid climate changes have been presence since the dawn of the day, & they will continue to exist. The ice age is a great example, the very beginning of mankind didnt have the capabilites of creating this natural phenomena. I believe a few years from now, global warmign will blow over and we will be laughing at ourselves because of the problems we have caused in our society. Who's fault will it be then, when we contributed all this time and money to a non beneficial project? what will happen to society? a complete outburst will erupt and we will have another problem on our hands. We also, have the technology to create insentives to what will happen if we get into non liveable environents. Lets say the water keeps gulping land and it is getting harder to sustain life on land, research could find a way to get the same benefits of surafce land to that of land underwater. Earth has been been in existance for billions of years and understands how things work compared to our capasity because we will be forever discovering new things. So it could be possible to just let nature take its course.
